Odds as of October 7th at OKBET Betting
The Celtics are the biggest favorite of the night, as they are giving up nine points to the Hornets on the road.
In the game between Denver and Chicago, the Bulls are a slight one-point home favorite.

Pick #1: Heat vs Grizzlies
The Heat plays the Grizzlies at the end of a back-to-back. On Thursday, Miami beat Brooklyn 109-80. Everyone on the team except Jimmy Butler did damage. Eight different players scored 10 or more points, with Bam Adebayo’s 17 points being the most. The team coached by Erik Spoelstra did a great job moving the ball around.
They had 31 assists and found many open paths to the basket, scoring 56 of their points in the paint. It’s kind of strange that Miami is such a big underdog here, but that’s because Butler, Bam, Tyler Herro, and a few others all took Friday off to rest.
The Grizzlies have won both preseason games against the Bucks and the Magic. Memphis did what they do best against Orlando, which is to kill teams in transition with their crazy athleticism. They scored 30 fastbreak points, while Orlando only had 15. Santi Aldama scored 21, and Ja Morant had 22 points, four rebounds, and seven assists. On Friday, all the main people who did wrong are expected to play.
Since Miami is keeping out several key players, I think the Grizzlies are a good bet against the spread in NBA preseason picks. They need to cook.
Pick: Grizzlies -7.5 (-110)

Pick #2: Nuggets vs Bulls
Both Denver and Chicago want to win their first preseason game in this game. On Monday, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. came back, but the Nuggets lost 112-101 to the OKC Thunder. They scored 22 points together, while reigning MVP Nikola Jokic only had 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 15 minutes. With a sprained wrist, the Serb is questionable for Friday’s game, so it’s likely he won’t play.
The Pelicans beat the Bulls by four points in the first game of the season. Both teams made a lot of mistakes, but Chicago lost the ball 26 times, giving New Orleans 36 points. On a more positive note, there was a lot of help from everyone on the team. Six players scored ten or more points. DeMar DeRozan’s 21 points were the most important.
Most likely, Jokic won’t play because it’s only the preseason. I’m betting that Chicago will win this game against the Nuggets, who are a different team without their big man.
Pick: Bulls ML (-115)
